WELCOME

Welcome to the Round Table Area 30 (Poaching) website. If you have found this website through surfing the net, then you are looking at one small part of a huge charitable global organisation, enjoying fun and friendship whilst raising a lot of money for charity. If you are aged between 18 and 45 then it is the "best young mans club in the world", and I would encourage you to come along and see for yourself.

My name is Jonathan Owens and it is my honour and privilege to have been elected as 2008/09 Chairman of this Great Area of RTBI. I have been a member of Round Table for fifteen years and I am currently a member of Lincoln Minster 1104 Round Table. Round Table has been particularly beneficial for me as my job has taken me round the country, and wherever I have been I have just been able to pick up the phone and have a group of friends help me settle down. Subsequently, Lincoln Minster is my seventh table and Poaching is my fifth area. So, it is an organisation that suits most young dynamic professionals from all walks of life, whose career never keeps them in one place for too long.

Area 30 currently has 18 tables and they hold many varied events, from go carting and gliding to formal balls where the girls can wear their ‘posh frocks', to family orientated events such as a party on the beach. So you can see, Round Table does cater for all the family. Most people recognise Round Table from having seen Santa being pulled on a Sleigh at Christmastime, Bonfire Nights, and the infamous BBC Children in Need Round Table toddle. The truth is, tablers have soft hearts and are always raising money for needy causes the year round. As an Area we have raised over £100,000 in 2007/08, which demonstrates the enthusiasm of Area 30 tablers to charitable causes, and the generosity of the people of the great county of Lincolnshire.

If you are encouraged by what you have read and would like to know more then please feel free to contact us, and we would be only too happy to get you along to one of our events. Remember Round Table is about having fun, making lifelong friends whilst helping worthwhile charitable causes.

Thank-you for you time.

Jonathan
